During your life journey

You are bound to relate, mingle, intermingle and associate

With different people of various behaviours, backgrounds, ages,

Ideas, races, ideology, thinking, attitude, characters and psyche

The good, the bad, the ugly

The kind, the cunning, and the inhumane

You may experience several ill-treatments

Disappointments, discouragements, discomfort

And many more as you relate with some people

You feel happy when someone treats you kindly

And doleful when treated very badly

These are harsh realities of life you have to accept

Or be prepared to accept

If a friend betrays you

Take heart and be patient

Such is life!

Re-adjust and carry on with your life

Just a few among chums are truly dependable

Disappointments and ill-treatments make a man brave

Bravery enables you achieve at ease

Some goals that seemed difficult for many others

If you had spent a lot of money to take care of a lady

As well as on her education

And she later jilted you

Take heart and be patient

Such is life!

Take your mind off her disappointment

And count yourself lucky

To not have married her

If she happened to be your better half

She will never be faithful

If you truly loved a man and because of this

You spent your money on his upkeep

Or even set up a business for him

And he later duped you and ran away

Take heart and be patient

Such is life!

He will find it very difficult

To get a good wife whenever he needed one

That is just one of the rewards of traitorous characters

If a neighbour disrespects you

Take heart and be patient

Such is life!

His/her action

Can’t stop the favours of God

From coming to you

If someone promises to help you

But refused to redeem their promise

Despite the fact that they have the means to assist

Take heart and be patient

Such is life!

Don’t allow that to hold you back

 Look for another way(s)

And that’s why it’s always reasonable

To have a back-up plan

If this plan fails, what next?

If someone mocks you

Because you’re in difficult situation

Take heart and be patient

Such is life!

Many people are like that

They will certainly be shamed

When your maker makes way for you

If your relation betrayed you

Take heart and be patient

Such is life!

There are many instances like that among family members

Cain and Abel are siblings

If someone you had assisted for long

Later makes headway in their career and become rich

But instead of recompensing your good deeds

They choose to ignore you

Take heart and be patient

Such is life!

Work hard and pray

Their conscience will continue to prick them

They will be filled with remorse and shame

Whenever they see you in better conditions

Moreover, don’t stop being kind to people

Because you’ve experienced several disappointments

From relatives, bosom friends, neighbours and associates

Don’t be unkind to womenfolk

Because a woman you truly loved had jilted you

The more you’re patient, kind and considerate to people

After facing disappointments

The greater your valour and rewards

And be optimistic that good things await you from above
