THE ELDERLY PEOPLE

THE  ELDERLY  PEOPLE

There comes a time in a human life

When the muscles, veins, cells, tissues, organs and joints

Cannot work effectively like that of a teenager or young man

When gray hair, a natural part of aging

Cover the head

When man can no longer do arduous tasks

A time when an award-winning athlete

Can no longer run fast

How many septuagenarians can sprint

Their states of health

Make it difficult

Because of old age

Some elderly people can’t comprehend

Or recount events very well

Different ailments affect the elderly ones

The fact is that there’s virtually no old person

That is absolutely free of all ailments

An octogenarian who doesn’t

Have someone to place breakfast on their table

Or money to buy it at a close distance

Lunch is uncertain

No hope for supper

No money to purchase drugs prescribed by a medical personnel

Shall be extremely sorrowful

He/she is very close to their grave

Some children abandon their parents when they are old

Yet, they throw a big party after their demise

A parent that died of having nothing to eat

No money to purchase doctor’s prescriptions

Our elders deserve better treatments

Let’s change our attitudes toward them

So that young ones can take care of us too

When we grow old

Happiness is the best food

For the elderly people

Let’s make them happy
