THE ILLEGITIMATE KING

THE ILLEGITIMATE KING

According to the tradition of Obadi-Oki after the demise of the incumbent king only the king’s heir should be enthroned as a new king. King Joba stressed this point before his death, but immediately after he had passed away the king makers took a bribe from a wealthy and influential man in the town, Chief Boluwatife, and made him the new king.

Consequently, lots of troubles and catastrophe befell the town.
